Our Story
Havana Jim® was founded in 2015 by James “Jim” Henderson, a native Floridian with a passion for water sports and the laidback Havana style. As an avid surfer and fisherman, Jim often spent his days boating, beaching, and enjoying the Florida Keys. He loved the bright, breezy styles of vintage Havana, Cuba, and was inspired to design his own line of clothing to capture that timeless aesthetic.
After finding unique textiles from around the world, Jim began handcrafting each item in his own garage studio. His attention to detail was second to none, using only the softest natural fabrics and finest stitching. The result was a collection of Havana-style shirts and shorts with exceptional comfort, quality, and craftsmanship.
Word quickly spread about these fantastic new shirts and shorts. Soon, Jim could barely keep up with orders! In just a few short months, Havana Jim® grew from a personal passion project into a full-fledged clothing brand.

Expert craftsmanship. From pattern making to stitching, every item is thoughtfully constructed in-house. Our talented seamstresses handle each garment with care, taking the time to perfect every hem and seam. This ensures durability and keeps our signature look consistent.

While Havana Jim® started small, we’ve grown into a close-knit team united by our passion.
Jim Henderson – Founder and CEO
Jim brings decades of experience in fashion design, textiles, and manufacturing. His creativity and eye for detail are the driving forces behind our product development. As CEO, he still oversees all design and production.
Amanda Clark – President
With a background in business operations, retail, and marketing, Amanda keeps things running smoothly day-to-day. She ensures we provide top-notch service while growing the brand.
Fabian Cruz – Production Manager
Leading our production team, Fabian brings expertise in apparel manufacturing. He works closely with our designers and seamstresses to translate each vision into a flawless finished product.
Eva Reed – Lead Seamstress
Eva oversees our talented team of seamstresses. With over 30 years of sewing experience and an incredible eye for detail, she ensures that our quality never wavers.
Rachel Wu – Textile Designer
As our lead designer, Rachel travels the world sourcing unique fabrics and prints. She finds textiles that capture the vibrant Havana spirit while focusing on natural materials.

In the laidback Florida Keys spirit, we believe in spreading good vibes through giving back. That’s why we donate a portion of profits to marine conservation efforts in our home state.
